Hello,
From David R Carroll, CADCA. I am a certified substance abuse counselor from California. I have served as a treatment program Director, serving the criminal justice demographic. I started the program with curriculum I developed and that was approved by the California Department of Corrections, Substance Abuse Services Coordinating Agency, and the California Department of ******* and Drug Programs. Previously I counseled at another treatment program. After 3 1/2 years in management I moved on to a job going into prisons recruiting inmates for Aftercare treatment programs, like the one I started and managed. I currently have a Site promoting Addiction Recovery, and am trying to mature it to be self-supporting. The Site is, Addiction: Why Me? @
www.mydavecarroll.com.
If you check it out, I have an autobiography there. I would like to be able to have a "live chat" so that I can confidentially counsel people who may have reservations about publicly presenting their drug problems. Meanwhile I just keep trying to improve the quality of the Site, though it is a little "out of the norm", trying to catch the attention of people with problems who could use mine or someones, help! I am 58 years old. I'm a Vietnam Vet, and a recovering Addict of 12 years, 13 in March. My goal is to develop a way to keep helping people, even after I retire. I know my idea is not absolutely unique, but I do believe there is still room on the Net for what I propose. I know that many people could benefit from initially facing their Addiction from the security of their own home! The concept is to be able to help them go out and get the help they reallly need. I also am very concerned about family and friends who suffer from someone elses addiction, i.e. - spouses, children or just long time friends! Anyway I'm not out to find a get rich scam. I just want to use this vast resource to help and to pay back what has been done for me through my own Recovery, using skills that I learned at nearly 50 years of age. I have helped many and that reward keeps me on the path I couldn't find as a young man, for many, many reasons! Anyway, that's Me...

Hi !

I can feel where you are coming from. If you are familiar with social networking. You probably can start with one like MY Lot and start a discussion on the subject are do a search and use your subject to find out who has the same interest as you.

In most forums people aren't concerned about your subject they only want to promote their product to make money.

Come back sometime and let us know how you are doing.

Also if we happen to be in the same social network contact me my user is aka Residual. oops! gotta go make my intro. nice meeting you. don't give up.
