For tourists, who travel to Tibet (http://www.chinatraveldepot.com/Travel-to-Lhasa)for the first time, Tibet is full of mysterious things besides the splendid Potala Palace, (http://www.chinatraveldepot.com/CA27-The-Potala-Palace) the Tibet Buddhism is special one of them. Religion and spirituality is extremely important to the Tibetans and has a strong influence over all aspects of lives; ingrained deeply into their cultural heritage. So it is very important for tourists to know about it during their Tibet Tours (http://www.chinatraveldepot.com/Travel-to-Lhasa). Tibetan Buddhism is practiced not only in Tibet but also in Mongolia, parts of northern India, the Buryat Republic, the Tuva Republic, and in the Republic of Kalmykia and some other areas in China besides the Tibet region. Tibetan Buddhism derives from the confluence of Buddhism and yoga which started to arrive in Tibet from India briefly around the late eighth century and then more steadily from the thir****th century onwards. Indian Buddhism around that time had incorporated both Hindu yogic and tantric practices along with the cl***ical teachings of the historical Buddha who lived around 500 BC. It acknowledged that there were two paths to enlightenment ( complete transcendence of identification with the personal ego ). One path was that taught in the sutras according to the historical teachings. The heart of sutra practice was based on morality, concentration, and wisdom ( not identifying with the personal ego ). The other path, which has become the cornerstone of Tibetan variations, was tantric. This practice blended the sutra teachings with techniques adapted from Hindu systems of yoga and tantra. Every year , there are millions people , who travel to China (http://www.chinatraveldepot.com) spending their Tibet Travel (http://www.chinatraveldepot.com/Travel-to-Lhasa), visit the mysterious Tibet temples having a feeling close to the heaven.

For tourists, who are planning their Tibet Tours, (http://www.chinatraveldepot.com/Travel-to-Lhasa) what all they know is the mysterious temple Potala Palace (http://www.chinatraveldepot.com/CA27-The-Potala-Palace)and the Tibetan Buddhism. Most of people during their Tibet Vacations (http://www.chinatraveldepot.com/Travel-to-Lhasa)are just missing in the tour pleasures , they need know the geography before packingTibet Travel (http://www.chinatraveldepot.com/Travel-to-Lhasa). Tibet has some of the world's tallest mountains, with several of them making the top ten list. Mount Everest, which attracts adventurers around the world totravel to Tibet (http://www.chinatraveldepot.com/Travel-to-Lhasa)to climb, at 8,848 metres (29,029 ft), is the highest mountain on Earth, located on the border with Nepal. Several major rivers have their source in the Tibetan Plateau (mostly in present-day Qinghai Province). These include Yangtze, Yellow River, Indus River, Mekong, Ganges, Salween and the Yarlung Zangbo River (Brahmaputra River). The Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, along the Yarlung Zangbo River, is regarded by some as the deepest canyon in the world, and is even slightly longer than Grand Canyon, hence it is regarded by many as the world's largest canyon. The Indus, Brahmaputra rivers originate from a lakein Western Tibet, near Mount Kailash. The mountain is a holy pilgrimage for both Hindus and Tibetans. The Hindus consider the mountain to be the abode of Lord Shiva. The Tibetan name for Mt. Kailash is Khang Rinpoche. Tibet has numerous high-altitude lakes referred to in Tibetan as tso or co. These include Qinghai Lake, Lake Manasarovar, Namtso, Pangong Tso, Yamdrok Lake, Siling Co, Lhamo La-tso, Lumajangdong Co, Lake Puma Yumco, Lake Paiku, Lake Rakshastal, Dagze Co and Dong Co. The Qinghai Lake (Koko Nor) is the largest lake in the People's Republic of China.
