Just another newbie, don't know what to say and don't know what to do.

Slightly worried about looking a complete Pratt but what the Hell [can i say that] nothing ventured nothing gained.

Had a go at the signature but don't know if or where it appears, if anybody spots it let me know.

Where you want to go to set the signature is to USERCP...that link is above in the blue ribbon. Once there, you have many other options including ur signature

you appear to be very knowledgeable on this system, could i ask please how is the appearance of multiple stars decided and what do they mean. I only ask this because i am miffed that i do not have any

I don't think the stars mean anything more on here than to get attention...but many messages are worth reading and are posted by humans even if it had no stars!

You attach a star rating to a message by looking at the box under ur message and locating the text that says "rate this thread"
