kia ora (hello) from New Zealand
Start treating your online program as a business. Stop thinking about it as a sideline, or playing around that may later click in for you and then take it serious. Treat it as a business from today because it is a business. It is a most powerful business because it empowers you to change your life to the life you have always wanted and deserve.
View your business as if you’ve invested $100,000 to get it up and running. You had to beg, borrow or steal to get it and you had to lay it on the line. Now whether that $100,000 is going to give you a return, is not dependent on the amount you have invested but rather on the action you take and the seriousness that you put forth. That’s one of the challenges of online businesses. Generally your business would have taken a very small percentage of your current income, perhaps just a few dollars to get started and so people will view it with a small mentality both ways. It’s either that the amount you paid is too cheap to even bother about paying it or it is not a lot to loose if I just take a bit of a shot at it. Whereas, if you had invested $100,000 and lost it, it would have been way, way too expensive. What you have to try and realise is that investing those few dollars and you loose it because you don’t build it, you’ve lost more than if you had to invest $100,000. You’ve lost the opportunity of a lifetime and there is nothing more valuable than an opportunity unrealised!
In most programs all you have to do is walk into an already created opportunity and take advantage of it and take it wherever you want, using the tools that are provided for you. Most programs have provided a business that works just as good regardless of what is happening in the economy. They work whether the economy is inflationary or recessionary. You have total control over your business. If your referrals are not doing what you think they should be doing, well just get some new referrals. You don’t dismiss the ones you already have. All you have to do is keep them in the loop, message them when you can and at some time they’ll just make the decision to do it or not.
View your business as dynamic, growing, changing & improving all the time but most of all it’s reliable. You can predict it, you can depend on it. The only variable in the whole mix is you. The beauty of that is if one person can do it, then you can too. If that certain person can make it, you can make it! If that elderly person can make it, you can make it! If that single lady can make it, you can make it! If the guy with all that education can make it, you can make it! If that house painter can make it, guess what you can make it too!!! Because the only variable in the whole equation is you and that makes it exciting! It takes the whole blame away. If your business is not where you want it to be, is it the programs fault? Generally No! If your business is not where you want it to be, where do you get to point the finger; right at yourself! And guess what? Mine is not where I want it to be. And guess who I get to blame; not you, not my upline, not the program, but me!!!
The responsibility of where your business is and where you want it to be is down to each one of us. We all come into these programs from different places. Some people may come in with incredible success in the past. Perhaps they’ve had success in school, perhaps they’ve developed a successful businesses in their own right. They then bring with them some experiences, some knowledge, some maturity, some finances that perhaps that other people don’t have. You may think then that may give them an advantage and that if you were like that person, you could do it. Well, we have what we have. The heart of all unhappiness is comparison. So turn that around and use it to motivate yourself to be where you want to be. Your strengths are the strengths that your whole group needs and somebody else’s strengths are what the whole group needs and as a mix you will find that everybody can relate to anybody in your downline through keeping in contact with each other. So if your program has those services, use them!
Think of your program as being the best marketing business on the net today. You may at times come across a bit of negativity to it. Well that can’t be helped; generally it’s not the program’s fault. You can help turn that around just by doing what’s required to be done and making it grow; simple! Changing people’s perspective of what you are trying to create for yourself through your program can be achieved simply by being the best you can be. The program administrator is not your boss, your upline is not your boss. You are your own boss, so treat yourself with respect, don’t beat up on yourself when things are not going so well as they do from time to time. And don’t be afraid to ask yourself for a pay rise. Commit yourself to your business and your boss will reward you richly. Deal with the people in your downline honestly and with integrity.
