Hello!
Well I am new to advertising, and I guess I am just trying to get my feet wet and see how it goes.
I guess I will start by telling you my story on how I came to this place.
Well here goes...
My father had to have a heart valve transplant about 2 and 1/2 years ago.* He was really healthy, so I don't even know if he really needed it.* However the surgery went good, but his after care in the hospital was neglected in my mind.* He* aspirated fluid into his lungs.* He spent the next 2 1/2 months in the ICU.* He had to have a trachea cut into his throat, and catheters put into both places to use the restroom.* They also had to put a feeding tube in through his nose, and it stretched down to his stomach.* We had to crush up all his pills, and inject them through the feeding tube.* He was not ready to come home, but after 3 months they kicked him out of the hospital.* My mother works full time at an elementary school as a principal.* The doctors told her, that he needed to go to a Old Folks/Care home, since she and my dad lived alone.*
I was not about to let that happen!* So my wife and I, moved in with my parents to take care of my father.* My wife and I were wroking full time, she worked in the day, and I worked graveyards.* So my schedule for the next year was as follows.* I would take a 45 min drive to work to be there at 10pm.* I would get off at 7am and take the 45 min drive home.* I would then take care of my father untill 3pm, then get a few hours of sleep to go back to work.* Well all that work paid off.* My dad is slowly getting better.* He was on the feeding tube for 1 year, and just got his trach out last week.* He is still week, but at least he is eating and breathing on his own now!
My wife and I had our first child* on June 20th 2009, and she is now just over 9 months old.* Anyway, I had been laid off on August 8th 2009.* My wife and I decided, that I would take care of our child, and my dad while she worked.* So since August of 2009, I have been a stay home dad, and a caretaker.* Let me tell you, It feels like I work full time, I just don't get paid :P
So after being out of work for so long, I decided that I needed to try something. I guess I will find out if this pays off!
If anyone has any tips or tricks for me, I would be more than happy to listen.
Well that is my little story,
Take Care and God Bless!!
