Actually it is shareware, so you can try it out before you buy it. It takes a bit of getting used to for operating so I recommend do the free download until you get the hang of things. You could always contact me for help too. They have very clear videos for operating and you will need to view them to get the most out of the system.
It is semi-automatic but as close to automatic as possible. It submits your web pages, sites or articles to lists that they are constantly updating. The lists are updated about every 2 weeks. When you purchase the program it is a one time only fee - not a bloody lease or monthly fee. The updates are lifetime. You have two optins for submitting your work. Either by a fast mode where you don't see the web page - it is done though a form you preset and that information is automatically programed into the submit form. There are usually between 3,000 to 4,000 directories to work with. You also have another optin of adding in Directories that come to your attention to the Custom List. The Page Rank of these Directories is from "0" to "8". The PR8 is DMOZ and this program finally got one of my pages in there. Y-a-a-y!
If you allow 30 - 45 days after posting you are also able to scan all the directories for your links. This information gives what link was posted, where, when and any notes you might have added. This time frame I have found works the best as the Directories will take that amount of time to actually review, approve and then finally post your URLs to their sites. You can also export all this information to other computers or co-workers, joint ventures etc.
Having said all of the above - it still takes time and it is tedious to do. However it is directly responsible for getting a PR of 2 for one of my sites and I still have much to do. I believe it is one of the most reliable ways of getting your websites acknowledge by the big Search Engines. I now have some of my pages on websites that are PR6 and of course DMOZ.
So check it out and see what you make of it. http://bit.ly/9ONUqn
