Hi Chris, it looks like you really got this Twitter thing down. Personally I think it is ridiculous but I know it is really really hot now. And if I can get traffic from Twitter then I am in and ready to learn. Other than people just deciding to follow me from my site I have only used 1 technique to get followers. It works like crazy but I am not sure if it is translating into much traffic. How about sharing one good tip for generating traffic with Twitter here on the forum?

Hey Matt,

You're right Twitter is really hot and it has been for awhile. TwitterHints.com is already a few years old and I can't believe it! My site was one of the first if not THEE first to start sharing tips for (ethical) marketing on Twitter.

A few years and 10,000+ members later the site is still going strong. I'll share an obvious tip or two but there's no point in trying to go overboard to sell anyone here on the forum because it's totally free to join anyways and it's all spelled out in detail in the TwitterHints.com member's area already!

Here's a concept more than a tip really:

Setup your marketing campaigns (esp affiliate links) to leverage as much "automated" exposure as possible. For example, if there was a way to send a text message from your cell phone (or computer) that would cause YOUR affiliate link to appear on 4 or more highly trafficked websites wouldn't that be great?

Well, Twitter has made it so easy to share what's on your mind across multiple web platforms that not only is it possible, a child could literally set it up....

That's what we cover in detail inside the member's area - how to leverage Twitter to your advantage. So basically one "tweet" gets as much exposure as possible.

The key to really building followers and making the most of your Twitter marketing is to share valuable content to a crowd that's interested in your content. We also talk about how to find targeted followers that are already looking for the type of stuff you have to offer.

Thanks for the tips Chris. You are right the report is free so everyone can just go sign up and dig in. But that is great that you can send one "twitt?" and it can go to several social media platforms. I have this set up on my blog but not with Twitter. I am looking forward to learning more.
