Just recently,and after 54 years of perfect attendance in the school of hard knocks,I realize that, I 'm finally learning the truth. Oh sure , I ve been flim flammed, patty wacked and had my world turned up side down ..but nothing can compare to what secrets were being with held from me all this time. Angry ? Your darn tootin I'm angry. All this time,I've followed the rules,crossed my "t's" and dotted my "I's". I worked hard and earned my pay check. I was the ideal employee. Sure there was that impressive holiday ham every Christmas, and heck ,I even got my birthday off with pay one year! Wait that was Presidents Day, sorry. So why didn't anyone tell me I was on the wrong end of the success ladder.? Was this some forbidden society that you could only enter by invitation ? Was there some blood sacrifice ,animals to be presented to the dollar gods? A secret handshake maybe? No, The mistakes I made were my own, the rut I was in was dug by my own shovel. Through it all I continued to believe That nothing worth having in life comes freely. Relationships, promotions at work,trouble free kids, all of it ! Don't get me wrong,I wouldn't change a thing about my life. As I stated earlier, I'm just now realizing the emormous error of my ways. Thanks in part to my brother and most of the thanks going to the Lord above, I've seen the light. That light, ever so bright ,seems to be shining directly on a project a very special young women . Brilliant ,I'll get a nice income, the fund raising is a success , perfect. Or was it ? How was this all going down? Remember I've been a working stiff all my life ! What did I know about the business world? She told me, do what you already know how to do! What ? Sitting at my computer screen ,I sat dazed and confused? Do what I already know ? Ladies and gentleman,she was right. The more I listened the more I liked what I was hearing. She was presenting me with an offer not even the "GodFather " could refuse! Are you familiar with the term win -win? Let me tell you ,you will be. I accepted her offer. Since then my future has become a whole lot clearer. The prospects of a more secure financial future are in place! I've finally got my Ducks in a row. I'm truly the king of my castle. My mornings no longer consists of rushing out the door at 6:30 am.with a slice of toast in one hand, coffee slopping out of my cup in the other. I still get up at 5:00 , because old habits are hard to break.I Have my coffee in a sitting position at the kitchen table! Check out the Baseball scores , then off to work. Oh how nice it is, to go to work in my jammies if I like. Let me tell you , It gives us average Joe's a little sense of what Mr Hugh Hefner must feel like ! Anyway I was off to work wasn't I ? I sit at my trusty Hewlitt Packard desktop ,slap a few keys silly and I 'm working. I still can't belive it . Me, the kid from Buffalo's west side ,Lafayette High School diploma and all ,working at the computer every day ( because I like to ). Golf today ? Maybe a ball game ? How about time with the grandkids? The time is mine , the way life ought to be. My Life My time . My business ,My Money! I know I could never have done this on my own. I have truly been blessed. With a supportive family, The dreams of Ginny Dye , and to God above for giving me the wisdom to recognize the door that was opened for me! Would I recommend this for everybody? I'm going to surprise many people here, but No! No, because there are people (we all know them) in this world that are actually fearful of sucess. There are those among us, that prefer to live in our own comfortable little worlds trying to convince others by saying" I really don't need to be successful to be happy." That's fine if they really believe it ,but i know it's a cop out for the truth . You want to be successful? You have to know your worthy ,deserving, and willing to reach out and grab it when it's offered. It took me all these years to realize I'm just as worthy of the next guy, and I'm getting mine! I challenge everybody who reads this . Today ,reach out and grab that brass ring. Tell yourself your worthy,and if the door isn't open .....put a boot to it!
