Why Should I shop on line????
Since starting SavingsPassport( http://www.freewebs.com/savingspassport )for safe shopping,

The one question I may be asked more often then any other may be, " Why should I shop on line ?”
Aside from it being an added option ,I find the competition for your hard earned dollars is , in the long run ,a financial advantage to you as a consumer.

When Joe's hardware store was the only place in town to buy a new faucet washer, you shopped at Joe's. As a result , Joe raised the price on washers , knowing full well , if you don't like the price, then you could drive 15 miles to the next town where Bob was doing the samething to his customers. Supply and demand at it's finest.
Then along comes the Home Depot . With the endless aisles , not only did Home Depot sell lumber, they also sold , you guessed it , faucet washers ! And Cheaper!!!!
By buying in huge quantities, stores such as Home Depot, and Wal -mart ,are able to buy for less and pass on some of those savings to you and I. Notice ,I said some of the savings.

Jumping forward , we are now entering a new age as far as our shopping habits are concerned.
The “downtown” areas are slowly reinventing themselves. All your favorite places to shop have joined the next generation and things are booming. BIG TIME !! Why , because all the stores are ONLINE . The advantage to us as consumers is simple. More variety, more competition for your business, more competition more savings.
I've had people save why should I pay for shipping when I can pick it up ? Good question . But are you not also paying your state and local sales tax ? Parts of New York are collecting anywhere between 7.5 % and 8.5 % in sales tax. Folks , let me tell you, if you take into consideration , the cost of taxes, and the price of gasoline, these things alone , will in most cases cost the same as your shipping.
How many of you , in all honesty, can do without the crowded Malls at holiday season. Heck , it takes as long to find a parking space as it would to place your order from a Christmas list online.
I know you all love little Johnny or Sue , your sisters kids , but is it worth it to spend time in line after line shopping for the new toy fad of the year ?
Have loved ones out of town? Children away at school? How better to send that care package then let your online retailer handle the shipping ?
This is especially true for those sending to service men and women stationed overseas. If you look carefully you'll find many online retailers also offer free gift boxing.(note not all those offering free shipping will ship overseas for free.)

So , to answer that question , Why should you shop online, because it's cheaper , more convenient , and the variety is so much greater then limiting yourself to shopping “Joes Faucet washer shop “
    Happy Shopping and
    Happy Holidays,
