Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration (SARDS) on set or sudden loss of vision for dogs (rarely for cats) of any pure or mixed breed. This syndrome referred to as toxic neuroretinopathy, metabolic toxic retinopathy, and silent retina syndrome. These pets are generally in good health or sometimes have liver disease and between seven and four**** years of age, predominately more females than males.
