Modern Warfare 4's multiplayer beta gives players two useful chances to try the new combat system before launch, and the dates matter if you want every reward. Pre-order customers get Early Access from August 21 to 25, while the Open Beta runs from August 28 to September 1 for all eligible players, making it worth checking MW4 Bot Lobbies only after you have confirmed your official access details. The full game arrives on October 23, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Access, Invitations, and Vault Content
The beta opens alongside the Call of Duty: NEXT showcase on August 21 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Selected players may also receive an email invitation several hours early. That invite is not enough by itself. You must complete the RSVP process and use the Activision account linked to the message. Vault Edition owners get extra options during the test, including the Hostile Alliance skins for Blix, Ghost, Valeria, and Captain Price, plus the Special Forces Operator Pack. Five weapon blueprints are also available, although the Hunter Killer skin cannot be used in this beta.
What You Can Unlock
Roughly 19 of the 24 launch weapons are expected to appear in the beta. That is enough to compare assault rifles, SMGs, and long-range builds across different map types. Weapon balance may change before release, so do not assume the strongest beta gun will stay dominant. The separate beta rank track reaches level 30 and includes cosmetics, an Operator Skin, and an assault rifle blueprint.
| Rank | Reward |
|---|---|
| 4 | Emblem |
| 8 | Charm |
| 12 | Weapon Sticker |
| 16 | Calling Card |
| 20 | Beta Operator Skin |
| 23 | Spray |
| 26 | Loading Screen |
| 30 | Assault Rifle Blueprint |
How to Reach Rank 30
Play both weekends if you can. The first test may stop at rank 15 or 20, so the later Open Beta period could be needed for the final rewards. Objective modes are a solid choice because captures, defences, and team actions add experience alongside eliminations. A simple routine helps.
Finish matches instead of quitting early.
Play objectives, even when your team is behind.
Try several weapon classes before settling on one.
Check the progression screen after each session.
Use blueprints to learn recoil and handling faster.
What Carries Into Launch
Your earned cosmetics and the rank 30 blueprint will transfer to the full game, but beta rank, weapon levels, and ordinary multiplayer progress will be wiped. Keep using the same Activision account so the rewards are attached correctly. Treat the test as practice, not a permanent head start. Learn the maps, report crashes or matchmaking issues, and spend time with modes you normally ignore. If you want to explore optional preparation services, research them carefully and buy MW4 Bot Lobbies only with a clear understanding of the risks and the game's rules.
