A Single Pressure Sensor (SPS), also called a pressure sensing pilot valve, is a mechanical device used to sense the pressure of a process line and use that signal to actuate a hydraulic pilot line. It typically performs block & bleed action based on whether the process pressure reaches a high or low set point, enabling alarm/shutdown logic in safety-critical hydraulic systems.
