If you've been running around Aion 2 lately, you might have spotted some players trailing an incredibly cute companion: the Baby Flomeow pet. Naturally, everyone wants to know how to get their hands on one. Unlike most of the standard pets in the game that you can grind out through normal open-world progression, Baby Flomeow is a bit special—and highly time-sensitive.
Here is a straightforward guide on exactly how to unlock the Baby Flomeow pet, what you need to do, and what your options are if you happen to miss out.
The Secret: The fromis_9 K-pop Collaboration
First things first: you won't find Baby Flomeow dropping from standard open-world monsters, and it isn't tucked away in the usual gameplay reward systems. To get this specific pet, you have to jump into the limited-time fromis_9 K-pop collaboration event.
Because this is a promotional crossover event, it works a little differently than standard game content:
Event Participation: You need to dive into the partnership update and complete the themed special event storyline challenges. They aren't brutally difficult, but you do need to actively play through them.
Exclusive Milestone Rewards: As you progress through these event milestones, you will unlock Baby Flomeow. Along the way, the event also hands out other exclusive crossover rewards, including special themed cosmetics, Flosticks, and exclusive wings.
Strict Time Window: This is the most important part. Baby Flomeow is strictly tied to this promotional window. Once the event ends, you cannot target-farm this pet anymore. If you want it, you need to get it while the event is live.
Missed the Event? Here is the Best F2P Alternative
If you are reading this after the crossover event has already wrapped up, don't panic. While you might have missed out on the specific Baby Flomeow cosmetic look, you haven't permanently ruined your character's stats. Free-to-play players can still unlock permanent, account-wide stats using standard Special Pets through regular in-game mechanics.
Here is how to do it via the standard F2P route:
The Merchant Route: You can purchase a Special Pet named "Spagatti" directly from the game's Chen Merchant. Head over to the "pets special" menu—it will cost you 2 million Kinah. It's a chunk of change, but entirely achievable through regular gameplay.
Once you have a standard special pet like Spagatti, you will want to level it up to maximize those account-wide benefits. To do this, you need to feed them Soul Crystals. You can actively farm these crystals by keeping up with your daily routine—specifically by completing repeatable subscribe missions and data bus missions. It takes a bit of regular grinding, but it ensures your account stays competitive without spending real money.
