Free Roam gives a Hajin drop a different rhythm. You're not chasing a story marker every few minutes, so your first decision should be practical: what kind of run can your operator survive At the Loadout Station, fit the Active Duty Operator with a weapon you can control, a useful plate carrier, and a backpack with room for a full trip. Leave space for cash and mission items. A calm warm-up can pair well with MW4 Bot Lobbies, but once you enter Hajin, your route and risk level are yours.
Read Hajin Before You Commit
That freedom matters when you stop treating every location the same. Mirae General Hospital and Songdo Wharf suit a measured opening, especially if your squad needs plates or cash before a fight. Imjin Farmland rewards careful searching. Deadtown is useful for supplies, while Chang San Air Base puts your aim and timing under pressure. Haneul Nuclear Reactor needs a plan, not curiosity alone. Every cache you open and enemy you defeat still adds to DMZ Player Level and DMZ Cash. When your pack is full, or the area heats up, call an exfil chopper and keep what you earned.
Set the Drop at the Forward Operating Base
The launch process is simple, but it is easy to click through it too quickly. From the main menu, open DMZ and enter the Forward Operating Base. Walk to the Deploy Station beside the heavy lift helicopter. Use this order.
Open DMZ from the main menu and enter the Forward Operating Base.
At the Deploy Station, choose Free Roam instead of active faction orders or Dynamic Operations.
Pick an infiltration method, such as standard ground insertion, then confirm the drop.
Give Yourself a Reason to Keep Moving
Once the screen is set, choose the method that suits the run-standard ground insertion is a sensible start-and watch the opening minutes. Don't sprint across the map just because the whole zone is available. Check nearby containers, listen for gunfire, and move when the reward is worth the exposure. A slow route through the farms may build a strong kit; a visit to an air base may test you faster. There isn't one correct pace. That's what makes Free Roam useful for learning Hajin without a rigid objective.
Leave With More Than You Brought
The best Free Roam runs usually have a small exit rule. Once you've got useful gear, enough cash, and a full backpack, mark an exfil point before another fight turns a good run into a lost one. If you're healthy and the squad is confident, stay longer and push towards a harder sector. Players who want a quieter setup can look at cheap Modern Warfare 4 Bot Lobbies before returning to Hajin, then use the same habits here: prepare, watch the surroundings, and leave while the decision is still yours.
