Assessing medical students’ readiness for artificial intelligence after pre-clinical training North Bergen

The aim of this study was to assess the preparedness of medical students in adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare as they enter their clinical years. The results indicate that the readiness scores of the students was greater than 3 in all four sections, indicating a moderate to high level of preparedness. The cognition section, which evaluated the participants’ cognitive preparedness in terms of knowledge of AI terminology, the logic behind AI applications, and data science, received the lowest scores. On the other hand, the vision section, which mainly tested the participants’ ability to comprehend the limitations and potential of medical AI, anticipate opportunities and risks, and generate ideas, exhibited the highest level of preparedness.
