Fibroid pain during pregnancy is a common concern because fibroids often grow or change as hormone levels rise. Many women with fibroids experience pain, particularly when the fibroid enlarges or presses on surrounding tissues, and this can occur in any trimester but is especially noticeable in the first and later trimesters when growth is most rapid. Larger fibroids may cause discomfort in the pelvis, lower abdomen, hips, or back, and can sometimes lead to cramping or sharp pain that may be mistaken for other issues. Conservative management like rest, hydration, and safe pain relief is typically recommended during pregnancy.
