MMOexp FC 26: Moments Mode Allegedly Removed Auschet

Another key detail from the leak involves cross-platform play—or rather, the continued lack of it in certain areas. EA Sports FC 26 is expected to maintain the current-generation restriction on crossplay, meaning players on PC still won’t be able to FC 26 Coins compete with those on consoles, and vice versa.

Console-to-console crossplay (like between PlayStation and Xbox) is likely to remain intact, as seen in EA Sports FC 24. But this separation between PC and console users is something fans have long requested be addressed.

One reason EA may be hesitant to merge PC and console lobbies is the difference in gameplay performance, security, and potential cheating on PC. While that’s understandable, it continues to fragment the community—particularly when it comes to eSports tournaments, which are already split across platforms.

Nintendo Switch 2 Could Complicate Things

With Nintendo’s rumored Switch 2 expected to release this summer, this could add another layer of complexity to EA FC 26’s platform strategy. While the current Switch edition of EA FC lacks many features seen on other platforms, the improved specs of the next-gen Nintendo console may prompt EA to deliver a more complete version of the game.

That, however, could also introduce more fragmentation. If Switch 2 users get a more advanced version of the game compared to those on the original Switch, crossplay between Switch consoles may not be possible. Additionally, it’s unclear how the new device might fit into eSports structures or online matchmaking.

Moments Mode Allegedly Removed

In what might be a controversial decision among Ultimate Team fans, the leak also suggests that Moments mode will be removed in EA FC 26. This single-player mode was introduced to provide short, scenario-based challenges inspired by iconic real-world football moments.

While not a central focus of Ultimate Team, Moments offered a more casual, bite-sized experience that many players enjoyed—especially those who preferred offline gameplay. If it’s removed, it’s unknown whether EA plans to replace it with buy FIFA 26 Coins a new mode or simply focus development resources elsewhere.
