NEET is the qualifying examination to get admission in MBBS/BDS and other courses. Based on the NEET score, candidates will get admission to government/private colleges. Based on the NEET starting rank, and last rank various universities grant admissions. 

The Medical Council Committee (MCC) organizes the counseling process for qualified candidates to offer MBBS/BDS admission. Admission is offered to 85% of state quota seats and 15% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The MCC conducts the counseling process for 15% of AIQ seats and the respective state counseling authorities conduct the counseling process for state quota seats.
