This surgery involves correction of the defects in the eyelids and periorbital and facial tissues. The defects could have been present from birth or could result from trauma or removal of a tumor. Its main objective is to protect the vision, restore normal functioning of the eyes and manage tumors around the Eye that needs special care and reconstruction. The process includes lifting eyelids, tear duct surgery and correction of droopy eyelids, and making other necessary corrections. Most people recover from the surgery within ten to fourteen days. However, strenuous activities should be avoided during the recovery period.
