Botvin LifeSkills Training is a school-based program that focuses on building skills in young people. It is often used to help prevent substance abuse, violence, risky behavior, and poor decision-making. The program was developed by Dr. Gilbert J. Botvin, and it has been used in schools and communities for many years. What makes it different from many traditional prevention programs is its focus on life skills. It does not simply warn students about drugs, alcohol, or unhealthy behavior. Instead, it helps students understand why people make certain choices and how they can respond in a stronger, smarter way. www.hanleyfoundation.org
