South India offers a varied holiday experience, combining historic temples, colonial-era architecture, green hill stations, wildlife habitats and peaceful backwaters. Active India Holidays helps travellers explore these contrasts through South India vacation packages that can be adapted to different interests, schedules and preferred styles of travel.
Kerala is a central part of the company's southern India collection. Visitors can discover the historic streets of Kochi, the tea-growing landscapes around Munnar, spice plantations near Thekkady, the backwaters of Alleppey and beaches along the coast. Depending on the chosen itinerary, the experience may include a houseboat cruise, nature walks, cultural sightseeing and time to relax by the sea.
The wider region also offers opportunities to explore Tamil Nadu's celebrated temples, the heritage attractions of Karnataka and historic sites such as Hampi and Badami. Active India Holidays features itineraries that combine cultural discovery with natural scenery, allowing travellers to experience several aspects of southern India within one holiday.
Available options include Classic South India, Kerala Backwaters and Beaches, Tropical Kerala, South India Explorer and Kerala Family Adventure. Travellers interested in more active experiences can also consider Kerala Active Adventure, while selected cycling itineraries offer another way to explore the region. Trip durations and activities vary, so comparing individual programmes is helpful when deciding which package fits your plans.
Personalised planning gives travellers flexibility over dates, accommodation preferences, activities and the overall length of the holiday. The planning team can discuss the destinations that matter most to you and help identify a suitable itinerary. Details such as included meals, transfers, accommodation and guided visits should be checked against the specific tour description before booking.
Active India Holidays is based in New Delhi and arranges experiential holidays across India. Its South India collection is suitable for travellers interested in heritage, nature, regional food, coastal scenery and relaxed exploration.
