Miroslav Klose is one of the greatest players ever to represent the German national team. Over 14 years, he earned 137 caps and scored 71 goals for Die Mannschaft, making him Germany's second-highest goalscorer of all time behind Gerd Müller. Klose was the undisputed leader of hi88 Germany's attack and played in four European Championships alongside his four World Cups.
Klose's impact on German football goes beyond statistics. He was the symbol of a new era for German football, combining technical skill with physical power. His partnership with other German stars like Michael Ballack, Bastian Schweinsteiger, and Philipp Lahm created one of the most successful periods in German football history.
The 2014 World Cup final against Argentina was the crowning moment of Klose's international career. Though he didn't score, his presence on the pitch gave Germany the experience and composure needed to win 1-0. The victory ended Germany's 24-year wait for a World Cup trophy.
Klose's international career featured many memorable moments. His hat-trick against Saudi Arabia in 2002, his five goals at the 2006 home World Cup, and his record-breaking goal against Brazil in 2014 are forever part of German football folklore. He was named German Footballer of the Year twice and received numerous individual awards.
Beyond his playing career, Klose has remained involved with German football as a coach. He served as an assistant coach for the national team and has managed youth teams, continuing his contribution to Die Mannschaft's development.
