I Lied in an Interview… and That’s When It Hit Me


After multiple interviews with no feedback, no follow-up, no real conversation — just the same scripted process — something started to feel off.


Not just frustrating… wrong.


Then it happened.


Another behavioral question.
Another “tell me about a time…”


And I adjusted my answer.
Not a full lie — just enough to sound better. More polished. More… hireable.


And instantly, I was angry.


Because the truth should’ve been enough.
But it didn’t feel like it was.

And we’ve all been quietly going along with it.
